KTM’s Ready to Race mantra doesn’t stop at its minibikes. The Austrian firm’s 50 SX models gives away nothing to its full-sized models when it comes to motocross competence, offering youth riders an excellent platform to develop their motocross skills at an early age, and that’s what earns it a spot on our 10 coolest mini bikes list.
The current KTM 50 SX boasts a compact, liquid-cooled two-stroke engine with a pressure controlled exhaust valve (PCEV), a WP-designed chrome-moly chassis, a WP AER 35 air front fork, fully adjustable rear suspension and factory graphics that match the company’s adult-sized offerings. The 50 SX’s centrifugal multi-disc automatic clutch also does away with the need for the rider to learn manual clutching and shifting, and it can be adjusted to tailor the power delivery to meet varying track conditions.
