Most people rely on a friend to help get them involved in racing, since attempting to go at it on your own for the first time can be a bit daunting. But even if you don’t know anyone who races off-road, it’s easy to find friends who do by simply joining one of the clubs that is involved in the sport in your area. No matter where you live, chances are good there is an AMA district motorcycle club that is involved in off-road racing. These clubs are full of enthusiasts who love off-road, and many of the clubs organize and promote at least one off-road race in their district each year. Joining a club will definitely fast-track your knowledge base, and most clubs also offer free pit support for their members on race day—another huge benefit.
