8. Husqvarna RT250
Some might not realize that Husqvarna was in the Dual Sport market from the time it entered the U.S. market. Its first effort was known as the 250 T Commando, which is probably rare as hen’s teeth and not the one we’d want if we wanted a cool vintage Dual Sport machine that we could actually take out for an occasional ride. Nah. That would be the not-quite-as-rare Husqvarna RT 250 from around 1973. Although it consisted of parts that were slightly behind Husqvarna’s latest, greatest motocross and off-road machines, the RT250 was still a kickin’ little two-stroke that could be ridden anywhere, and it still can be today. We still see them out there for sale for reasonable prices. Come to think of it, we should snap one up!
