1. Tire Pressure Gauge
It never ceases to amaze how guys will just show up at the track or trailhead, unload their bike and take off without ever checking their tire pressure. Sure, maybe you did check it before you left home, but since air pressure fluctuates based on both temperature and altitude, the pressure in your tires now may not be what it was when you set it back in the garage, especially if you’re riding takes you into mountain elevations.
That’s why it’s always a good idea to have a tire pressure gauge on hand. A simple gauge that reads in 1 psi increments is enough to get the job done. If you get one with a bleeder valve that allows you to relieve excess air pressure while taking your readings, so much the better.
