4. A Hammer!
There are days when we wish we could just take a hammer to a bike to “fix” an irritating problem—then again maybe we’re the problem. Either way, we keep a dead-blow hammer handy in our bag of dirtbike tools to help with such items as adjusting preload and shock collars, tapping out axles (you are remembering to grease those puppies when you reinstall them, right?) and various other jobs that require a little friendly persuasion. We still supply the swear words.
