Stage 6 of the 2016 Dakar Rally has been canceled due to extreme rain that has brought on severe flooding and caused the course to deteriorate.
The stage from Oruro to La Paz in Bolivia was scheduled to include 786 kilometers of the overall rally route with 527 kilometers of timed special.
