PAYSON, UT (February 8, 2017)–Riders around the nation are getting ready for the races that will begin their individual journeys to the 2017 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by Lucas Oil at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. The first Area Qualifier takes place February 11-12 at Arizona Cycle Park in Buckeye, AZ.
This year, 57 Area Qualifiers will take place across eight regions in 34 states from February to May. The top riders at each Area Qualifier will be permitted to enter in the corresponding Regional Championship in May or June where they can qualify for Loretta Lynn’s in August.
The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Race Gas program will be in effect at all Area Qualifiers. Every racer who competes in at least one class will receive one $10 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC gift card for each Area Qualifier. Additionally, $20 gift cards will be provided to entrants of the Regional Championships.
“The tracks are prepped, the gates are clean and the Area Qualifier organizers are ready for perhaps their largest event of the year,” said MX Sports Director Tim Cotter. “The 2017 AMA Area Qualifiers are right around the corner, starting the weekend of February 11 and 12. Last year, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC put over $250,000 back into the pockets of our Loretta Lynn racers as they took part in the Road to Loretta’s.”
“We’re happy to serve as the title sponsor for Loretta Lynn’s, and we’re excited that the 2017 Area Qualifiers are about to begin,” said Dan Thomas, CEO and Founder of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “We’re glad that we can support the sport in this way, and we wish the best of luck to all of the competitors who are getting ready to start their individual journeys to Loretta Lynn’s.”
