It is hard to argue that Troy Lee Designs is a true original when it comes to blending the true essence of cool into its brand. Custom painter and artist Troy Lee has been doing it since the early 1980s when he began custom painting motorcycle helmets for some of his motocross heroes. Lee’s cool designs became a global phenomenon, expanding way, way beyond the motocross world, all the way to the pinnacle of automobile racing, Formula 1. Now, that might seem too corporate or too much of a sell-out to still lay claim to the king of cool when it comes to vibe, but there’s no question in our minds that Troy Lee Designs has continued to maintain its presence on the cutting-edge of style while also paying homage to the past with its retro-cool offerings.
Retro-cool is about the best way to describe Fasthouse, which has only been around for about a third of the time that Troy Lee Designs has, but the stylish apparel brand has thrown some serious roost when it comes to projecting soul. The company likes to say that it represents a lifestyle that is energized and full of passion for motorcycles and motorcycle racing, and its mission is to represent that passion to its fullest, not only as designers of sportswear, racewear and hardware, but also as as promoters and creators of events and parties.
