Suzuki issued a press release today with the news. The company will continue to field factory teams in all other series in which it is currently participating, including the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series and the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

Suzuki completed the 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship but failed to finish inside the top 10 in the final MXGP series points standings, finishing only as high as 13th place in the MXGP class with factory rider Arminas Jaskonis. Veteran MXGP rider Kevin Strijbos finished right behind teammate Jaskonis in 14th place. Suzuki finished sixth in the MXGP Manufacturer’s Championship. Things were much brighter in the MX2 class where Jeremy Seewer finished second to series champion Pauls Jonass. Suzuki also finished second in the MX2 Manufacturer’s Championship. The team was run by multi-time MXGP World Champion Stefan Everts.
