The Western United States will be the site for a new series, the Sprint Hero Enduro Racing Series, put on by Off-Road Sports, the organizers of the WORCS series.
According to a release issued by Off-Road Sports, “Sprint Enduro Racing is a fairly new format pioneered by the Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series out East. Off-Road Sports (the team behind WORCS Racing) wanted to bring this fun format to the Western U.S., with a cause behind it beyond shaping the best ISDE racers out there.
“Being a Sprint Hero means helping out others, so we partnered with Destry Abbott’s new foundation, DA8 Strong. A portion of each entry will go to the DA8 Strong Foundation,’Improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their families,'”
The 2018 Sprint Hero Enduro Racing Series will host three rounds at familiar western racing venues, including Glen Helen Raceway in January, Iron Mine Race Park in March and Canyon MX in April.
The Sprint Hero Enduro Racing Series follows a simple format, according to Off-Road Sports, as follows:
Arrive Friday evening or early Saturday morning of the event.
Pick up your pre-registration packet.
Go to start line at the designated time and go Sprint Hero fast for a lap.
Then take a short break, get a drink or snack.
Then get in line to sprint for another on different course.
Repeat
Lowest total time for all laps wins each class.
Race both days for the overall points and awards or just one day for fun.
No membership is required at all. No day pass fees at all.Race entry cost for both days of racing, including transponder are as follows:
Youth $80
Adult $90
Pro $100
Site lap is $10 if you want to do it.
Park fees are $10 per person/day and camping is $10 per day if you stay overnight.
