Celebrated motorsports artist Tom Fritz is offering print copies of his latest motorcycle painting new painting of legendary off-road motorcycle ace Malcolm Smith.

Entitled “Banshee Scream,” Fritz’s painting shows Smith, the star of Bruce Brown’s classic motorcycle documentary “On Any Sunday,” going all out on his 8-speed Husqvarna in the 1971 Baja 1000. The original painting has already been spoken for, but it is still available as a fine art print. “Banshee Scream” can be had in a limited-edition canvas print available three sizes or on an open-edition paper print in one size.

If you don’t know about Fritz’s work, you really should check out his website, fritzart.com, where he celebrates his fascination with speed on two wheels and four wheels. A personal favorite artist and inspiration for one of our own personal faves, custom helmet and clothing magnate Troy Lee, Fritz was born in San Fernando, California, and raised during the rodding and motorcycling’s first boom years of the 1960s and ’70s, Fritz relies on his vivid recollections of those cultures when creating his dramatic, impressionistic masterpieces. Each one represents a dramatic moment in time that captures a theme or even an entire era, just like “Banshee Scream” does.

Fritz has received numerous accolades for his work, including the prestigious Peter Helck Award (Best in Show) an unprecedented six-times at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Fritz has been commissioned numerous times by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company to create works that represent its colorful history, and his work has been shown all over the world and viewed in countless books and magazines.
