2016 KTM Two-Stroke Off-Road Model Info Released

KTM introduces its 2016 two-stroke off-road line-up with minor revisions.

KTM has released information on its 2016 KTM two-stroke off-road family.

The 2016 models benefit from far fewer updates than its four-stroke motocross siblings, and the Freeride 250 R returns to the lineup unchanged. KTM still offers its XC-W models in three displacement capacities, 200cc, 250cc and 300cc.

The 2016 KTM XC-W models all receive a new front axle with a smaller diameter, going from 26mm to 22mm to reduce unsprung weight and improve front end feel. The front axle offset has also been changed from 35mm to 33mm to increase trail, which should provide more stability.

Other changes are designed to either add protection or improve the cosmetics of the machine. The protective updates include a new open design fork protectors that make it easier to clean the fork lower while offering the same amount of protection as the previous design and a new skid plate that is said to protect the lower frame tubes better. The cosmetic changes include a new new orange anodized rear sprocket, orange front headlight/numberplate, a new seat cover with the Selle Dalla Valle logo, and a new WP decal on the upper fork.
