MX Sports revises the dates for the Southwest and Midwest Area Qualifiers of the 2016 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.
Two of the Area Qualifiers for the 2016 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship have been rescheduled, according to event promoter MX Sports.
The two regions that are affected include the Southwest and the Midwest.
The Southwest Area Qualifier, previously scheduled to take place March 19-20 at Kahuku MX in Haleiwa, Hawaii, has been changed to a one-day event. The Southwest Area Qualifier will now take place Sunday, March 20 at Kahuku MX. The Midwest Area Qualifier, previously scheduled to take place April 2-3 at Oatfield Raceway in Turlock, California, has been rescheduled to a later date. The Midwest Area Qualifier will now take place at Oatfield Raceway April 30-May 1.

The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is recognized as the most prestigious amateur motocross championship event in the world. The National class structure includes classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The racing follows a three-moto format, taking place over the course of a week. Participating riders have previously raced and qualified at Area Qualifiers and Regional Championships to earn their sport for the Amateur National Motocross Championship, which takes place annually at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. The 2016 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship is scheduled to take place August 1-6, 2016.
