Toni Bou of Spain collected an amazing 10th FIM X-Trial World Championship by landing his third win in the five-round series in Marseille, France, on March 25.

The Repsol Honda-backed Bou had to put in a come-from-behind performance to win the event and lift the title after he picked up a five-point penalty in section two of the qualifying round, but he was clearly up to the challenge. After gathering himself, he went on to clean all five sections in the Final to cement the win and the title over fellow Spaniards Albert Cabestany and Adam Raga.

“Today went super-well,” Bou said. “I’m thrilled because we suffered such a lot–it was a really complicated trial. In the Final, not only did Adam pressure me, but also Albert Cabestany was there throughout to complicate the evening. I should remind you that Adam Raga has been really competitive all season, really piling the pressure on. When you come up against a rival of this quality, the titles have much more merit. I’m really pleased.”

With the completion of the indoor season, attention now turns to the FIM Trial Outdoor World Championship season opener in Olvan (Barcelona), Spain, April 9. Bou is the reigning champion of that series as well. In fact, he has not been defeated in either the indoor or outdoor World Championship series since 2007.

If that isn’t domination, we’re not sure what the word means.
