3. Zero FX
The Zero FX is built more for hard-core dual-sport and off-road riding, and that’s just how we like it. Zero has worked hard to continuously improve its electric dirt bike and street bike power systems, and the company’s latest Z-Force sealed electric motor is capable of producing up to 46 horsepower and 78 lb.ft. of torque from 0 rpm through its direct drive transmission. The Zero FX ZF3.6 boasts a range of up to 46 city miles or 19 highway miles on a single charge. The FX ZF7.2 can go even farther, 91 city miles and 39 highway miles. The FX boasts a rugged chassis suspended by a Showa 41 mm inverted cartridge fork with adjustable spring preload, compression and rebound damping up front and a Showa 40 mm piston, piggy-back reservoir shock with adjustable spring preload, compression and rebound damping out back. MSRP starts at $8495 for the FX ZF3.6
