Earl Saunderman Upgrade Video: A YouTube Hero Goes Big

If you cruise YouTube for any length of time, you’re bound to find a dirtbike video or two that will make you laugh your ass off. Our redneck dirtbike hero, Earl Saunderman now has two of ’em.

You may have seen Saunderman’s debut video on Kiesha Saunders’ YouTube channel, as he narrated us through the finer technical points of his first dirtbike, a training wheel-equipped KTM 50 SX. Saunderman’s excellent taste in dirtbikes is only matched by his impeccable style when it comes to selecting the proper riding gear for dirtbiking. We also marvel at his scientific technical explanation of such KTM 50 SX features as the automatic transmission and the starting mechanism. As Saunderman explains with authoritaaah, his KTM 50 SX can flat get it.

Saunderman is so charismatic that we had to wonder how long it would take for another video to surface, and wouldn’t you know it, one did just when we weren’t looking. This time around, Saunderman walked us around his latest dirtbike acquisition, a Honda XL. And this time, he not only offers some technical details, he also explains some of the modifications made to make the XL suit his riding skill and style a little better.

Best of all, this video also puts Saunderman’s expert riding skills on display for all to see. All we can say is, while we’ve witnessed a lot of top-tier dirtbike riders throughout our decades of racing in and covering dirtbike races from local events to the highest levels of AMA competition, we’ve never seen any of them even remotely approach the skill and grace that Saunderman exhibits when he gets on the gas. It gives all new meaning to his trademark “Get It” slogan.

There are a lot of videos from dirtbike riders who approach the talent level of Earl Saunderman, but few can match his particular brand of daring and machismo. Check him out and tell us if you agree.
