LOS ANGELES, CA. (August 17th, 2016) – GasGas Factory U.S. rider, Broc Hepler was back in action at the seventh round of the AMA Apalachian Championship Enduro Series at the Hocking Valley Motorcycle Clubgrounds in Logan, Ohio, on Sunday, August 14.
With high humidity and temperatures in the 90s,the 150-plus riders in attendance were treated dry conditions the first half of the race and then torrential down pour thunderstorms the last half, making for a very challenging event. The Jake Tom Enduro was 147 miles with seven total tests. Once again Factory GasGas rider Hepler came out on top of the podium this time winning every test of the day. Hepler continues to prove how effective the 2017 GasGas EC300 really is.
“I forgot how powerful and great my GasGas runs,” Hepler said. “The last two races have been very rocky so it was fun to be able to open it up and have good traction. The last three sections received the rain storm, so it was cool to see how well I can lug the bike in slippery conditions when traction was not ideal.”
This is the fifth consecutive overall win for Hepler in the Aces Series. Team Manager/Rider Johnny Barber put it this way, “The Jake Tom Enduro offered a great warmup for the Ohio National later this month. Hepler dominated the race, winning every test! Hepler has a strong command of points in ACES Enduro championship with only a couple races remaining. Special thanks to Tim Shepard from sport cycles, Dawn Hepler and Tommy Johnston as well as all of our amazing team sponsors!”
