The BlueRibbon Coalition is asking for OHV enthusiasts to write a letter and help re-open the Clear Creek, California Management Area.
The BlueRibbon Coalition is seeking assistance by the OHV enthusiast community to write our elected officials and voice support for the Clear Creek Management Area, which is home to hundreds of miles of off-road trails in the counties of San Benito and Fresno, California.
On April 16, California Representatives David G. Valadao (CA-21), Sam Farr (CA-21), and Jeff Denham (CA-10) introduced H.R. 1838, the Clear Creek National Recreation Area and Conservation Act, to direct the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to reopen the 75,000 acre Clear Creek Management Area in San Benito and Fresno counties for recreational use, including access for off-road vehicles. Additionally, the legislation would protect approximately 21,000 acres of BLM land adjacent to Clear Creek as the Joaquin Rocks Wilderness.
The BlueRibbon Coalition is calling on OHV recreationists, businesses, conservation groups, environmental organizations, clubs and local government to voice their strong support for H.R. 1838 and re-open Clear Creek, which has been cited by off-road motorcycle enthusiast publications as one of the top 10 OHV riding areas in the United Statse.
The congressional representatives listed below should be commended for their hard work in crafting this comprehensive bi-partisan legislation.

The BlueRibbon Coalition believes that letters of support will help show the bill’s sponsors just how much the OHV community appreciates their work to re-open Clear Creek, and it asking that all OHV enthusiasts take a few minutes and send in a support letter today. The BlueRibbon Coalition recommends that letters be sent via email or fax since mail delivery to Washington D.C. can be delayed for an extended period of time.
