New For 2018: Bilt Amped Women’s and Girl’s Helmets

Cycle Gear’s in-house Bilt brand has a reputation for producing inexpensive products, such as the Bilt Amped line of off-road helmets, that are durable over the long haul.

We can attest to that, as we’ve actually pony’d up some of our own bucks for Bilt riding gear, including the Bilt Explorer helmet in the past. Four years later, the stuff is still providing good service. That said, we’d definitely consider one of Bilt’s full-face off-road helmet models as a sensible purchase that offers a lot of bang for the buck. The Amped Women’s and Girl’s helmets fall into the category.

Each Amped helmet starts with an injection-molded polycarbonate shell that is fitted with a DOT-approved inner liner and removable air-flow padding. Other features include a removable injection-molded peak with decal graphics that match the graphics on the helmet shell. A double d-ring strap closure keeps the helmet secured to the rider’s head, and the Amped helmets chin-bar vent offers plenty of air flow into the helmet on hot days.
