If you ride a heavyweight twin-cylinder or single-cylinder adventure motorcycle, then you’ve probably heard of AltRider.
The Seattle-based firm is dedicated to producing top-quality aftermarket accessories and technical gear almost exclusively for the adventure touring motorcycle market. The AltRider crew flogs itself to come up with better ways to protect, pack, power-up, light-up and increase the comfort of just about every major adventure brand, including BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Triumph and Yamaha.
With the introduction of Honda’s exciting new CRF1000L, AltRider’s crew has produced a series of new parts for the machine, including crash bars, a heavy-duty skid plate, a pillion rack, a luggage rack and several more items. As the company likes to say on its website, great care goes into every step of the development process, from the initial concept to the finished product.
AltRider has produced the above video to talk about its new line of Africa Twin products. AltRider founder and president Jeremy LeBreton, who is not only talented a rider but also someone who could also pass as Jeremy Piven’s stunt double, takes us on a guided tour of the products for the Africa Twin, a machine that intrigued the AltRider crew because it utilizes a dirtbike-inspired dual rail frame. AltRider says that design feature allowed its design team to create strong and protective parts that mount directly to the frame.
