Husqvarna announced today that it has signed a two-year deal with formrer AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Champion Josh Strang to make him the newest member of the Husqvarna Factory Off-Road Racing team. Strang, who hails from Australia, will be compete in the 2015 AMSOIL GNCC Series aboard a Husqvarna FC 450 in the XC1 Pro class, and he will will also contest the Kenda AMA National Enduro Championship aboard a Husqvarna FC 350. Strang says that he has been a Husqvarna fan for as long as he can remember.

“My dad used to race them and that is all I ever wanted to ride,” Strang said. “Joining Husqvarna really brings back memories, and puts a lot of excitement back into my racing program.”

Stang said he plans to be a major player in the AMSOL GNCC Series, in which he won the National GNCC title back in 2010. He also intends to be a factor in the Kenda AMA National Enduro series.

“I am confident that Husqvarna can give me everything I need to win another GNCC Championship,” Strang said. “I’m really happy with this decision and can’t wait to get things rolling!”

Husqvarna Team Manager Timmy Weigand said he is very happy with Strang’s decision to join Husqvarna.

“I’m excited about the opportunity Strang brings to the team on the GNCC front,” Weigand said. “He has a lot of experience with 14 career wins and a
championship under his belt. We are confident that with Husqvarna Factory Racing behind him, Josh will be on top again in 2015.”.

Husqvarna will be making more announcements regarding its 2015 factory off-road team roster and support squad in the near future.
