Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green scores big at the inaugural JuniorMotoX Championship, presented by Monster Energy.
Irvine, CA (May 16, 2016) – This weekend marked the inaugural JuniorMotoX Championship, presented by Monster Energy®. Taking place just outside of Oklahoma City at the Lazy E Arena, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ came out charging as all five teammates qualified inside the top three in their respective classes Friday afternoon.

Ten-year-old Ryder DiFrancesco lined up first on Saturday night for Team Green on his KX™65 7-11 in the 65cc and 65cc 10-11 Limited classes. DiFrancesco rode smooth and consistent all night, taking home a second in the 65cc 7-11 and first in 65cc 10-11 Limited class. Jordan Bailey followed up his teammate’s performance in the Schoolboy 2 (13-16) class with an impressive ride after quickly jumping into the lead and taking the win. Bailey would have another great start on his KX™250F in the 250B 14-18 class and began applying pressure for the lead. After briefly taking over the lead, Bailey collided with the second place rider and went down. He remounted the bike outside the top five and began charging to the front. A last-lap pass placed the No. 133 Kawasaki rider on the final step of the podium, taking home a first and a third in his two respective classes. Joey Crown displayed his Arenacross experience in both the 250A and 250 Pro Sport classes, winning both classes in dominating fashion.
Up next was the No. 79 of Jett Reynolds on his Kawasaki in the 85cc Limited class. Reynolds wasted no time getting his KX85 up front after making the pass for the lead in the early stages of the race and checked out, taking the 85cc 9-11 Limited and 85cc 9-12 titles with ease.

Teammate Lance Kobusch did not have the weekend he was hoping for after crashing in both Supermini 1 and Supermini 2. Kobusch had one last shot at redemption as he lined up for the Jesse Cup race at the end of the day. Kobusch would rocket out of the gate on his KX100 and quickly put a gap in between himself and second place on the field. He would ride to an impressive win and be presented with the Jesse Cup honoring former amateur rider Jesse Masterpool.
