5. Justin Bogle earns historic career-first Pro Motocross victory at Budds Creek.
In addition to the career-first overall victory for Adam Cianciarulo in the 250cc class at Budds Creek, the 450cc class also gave way to another career-first victory.
Justin Bogle, who earned his career-first 450 moto win during Moto 1 of Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series at Thunder Valley, had spent most of the season hovering around the top 10. It’s no secret that Bogle is capable of the speed necessary to run with the front of the pack, but finding that speed on a consistent basis had been an up and down battle for the Suzuki rider. However, his 1-3 score at Budds Creek, paired with Eli Tomac’s 7-1 score was enough to give Bogle that sweet taste of victory champagne as he claimed not only his first 450cc overall win, but his first-ever visit to the top step of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship podium. Sadly, Bogle’s victory came on the heels of the announcement that RCH Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing would be closing up shop at the end of the season, but we won’t be surprised if Bogle lands a good ride for 2018.
