4. Zach Osborne clinches career-first Pro Motocross Championship at Budds Creek.
Only one year ago, Zach Osborne had never tasted victory on U.S. soil. He had previously earned a handful of podium victories, but the top step had remained just out of reach until Budds Creek 2016. Osborne was just starting to pick up steam at the end of his 2016 season and was more than ready to carry that momentum into 2017 and to show the world that his hard work was about to pay off.

Where he could’ve once been considered an underdog and unlikely championship contender, Osborne flipped the script and came out swinging in 2017. After an epic Supercross season that was sealed with a championship in the final turn of the final lap of the final race in Vegas, Osborne was prepared to keep on winning. When the gate dropped on the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series, he never looked back. He dominated the 250cc Pro Motocross class, wrapping up his second championship and career-first Pro Motocross championship at Budds Creek–the same track that was home to his first-ever victory in America. Osborne finished the season with a commanding 501 points, 81 points ahead of second-place finisher Jeremy Martin. The now two-time champ has also been selected to lead Team U.S.A. at the Motocross of Nations later this fall.
