Alpinestars has released the above video to show off its 2017 line of motocross riding gear, and as if the colors on the new threads were not already vibrant enough, the company enlisted its top stars to add even more color by showing off their considerable riding skills.
Alpinestars backs some of the best motocross riders in the world, such as Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac, currently second in the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship; AutoTrader.com/Toyota/Yamaha’s Justin Barcia; Monster Energy’s Romain Febvre, the reigning FIM MXGP World Champion, and Jeffrey Herlings, the man who appears destined to regain the FIM MX2 World Championship in 2016. Red Bull KTM’s Pauls Jonass also appears in the video.
Alpinestars says that the goal for its 2017 MX line is to further the company’s reputation for innovation and technical evolution. For 2017, Alpinestars’ has completely redesigned its entire Techstar line and made several changes to its Racer line as well.
“‘No limitations’ is what has been echoed from the test riders,” Alpinestars said in a company news release about its 2017 product. “Alpinestars’ Adaptive Stretch Technology offers maximum freedom of movement to the rider through elastic stretch panels in key areas below the yoke, in the crotch, on the thighs, and down the back of the legs. All these areas work in conjunction with one another providing peak mobility to the rider. The Techstar Jersey has achieved a new level of performance through lighter weight moisture wicking fabrics, textured and treated polyester, and stretchable mesh inserts.”
The Racer jersey features a new polyester construction with stretch bindings and a comfort mesh collar. The Racer pants are now a lighter in weight thanks to new material and TPR reinforcement in key areas. The pants also feature a pre-curved knee, designed to fit Alpinestars knee braces and protectors.
