AJP releases a dirty little tease regarding its forthcoming PR7 600cc Adventure machine
Portuguese motorcycle manufacturer AJP has been making small waves in the off-road motorcycle segment lately, and this new teaser video for the company’s forthcoming PR7 Adventure motorcycle is the latest one to hit our shores.
A year in development, it appears that the PR7 is right around the corner. AJP says that the PR7 is designed to be “a real off-road bike, light, compact, agile, but comfortable, capable of a good mileage and designed to carry luggage.” The PR7 will join the AJP off-road machines in the company lineup.
Power comes from an SWM-manufactured, 600cc, DOHC, four-valve, four-stroke Single with a bore and stroke of 100mm x 76.4mm. The engine is fuel-injected and uses a 45mm throttle body, and it also features a balance shaft to help cancel engine vibration. The transmission is a six-speed.AJP says that the fork is a 48mm unit with 11.8 inches of travel, while a fully adjustable Sachs piggyback shock is mated to a cast-aluminum swinging arm with progressive suspension linkage out back. Rear suspension travel is 11 inches. The P7R also features a 300mm front disc brake clamped by a two piston caliper, and a 240mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. AJP claims a fully fueled weight of 363 lbs.
The new AJP PR7 is scheduled to be available in September 2016. For more information on the PR7 and the rest of the AJP line, visit www.motoajp.com.
