Another X Games Enduro X win for “Mr. Endurocross.”
Five-time AMA EnduroCross Champion Taddy Blazusiak suprised abdolutely no one as he claimed his fourth X Games Enduro X gold medal and defended his 2013 X Games title today at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
The Red Bull KTM-backed Blazusiak didn’t get off to the best of starts in the Men’s Enduro X Final, and he battled GEICO Endurocross rival Mike Brown early in the race, but he asserted himself quickly by jumping past Brown and taking the lead. The two riders went back and forth briefly before Brown bobbled and went off the track. Brown would later drop out of the race.
Once out front, Blazusiak was able to pull out to a comfortable lead, ahead of a battle for second place between Brown’s Bel-Ray Husqvarna teammate Alfredo Gomez and American Beta’s Cody Webb. Webb passed Gomez to earn the silver medal, and Gomez held on to claim the bronze medal.
